Never before have X10 security modules been able to communicate with ActiveHome or ActiveHome Pro automation software. But that has all changed! OnAlert allows Protector Plus to integrate seamlessly with ActiveHome or ActiveHome Pro. What do we mean?

Essentially, now not only can your security modules trigger your X10 security system, but they can also function the same as home automation modules by triggering events. That's not all! You can even check the status of your security modules like the DS10A Window/Door Sensor over the Internet with ActiveHome or ActiveHome Pro and myHouse Online!

System Requirements: OnAlert requires ActiveHome or ActiveHome Pro. 
Designed to work on Windows based personal computers with one available USB port,  and an Internet connection to download software and program updates. This product is not intended to be a Security System, but a monitoring system.

With OnAlert, you'll be able to use your KR10A Keychain Remote to arm/disarm your security system and trigger automation events! You can even customize multiple remotes to trigger different events with the use of X10 Smart Macro Software Module available sepreatly. For example, when you park your car in the garage and hit disarm, your security system will disarm, the garage lights will come on and the TV room fan will come on all by itself. When your wife comes home and parks in the driveway, her remote will disarm the system, turn on the PR511 floodlights in the driveway and turn on the radio in the kitchen.

Unleash the POWER of your DS10A Window/Door Sensor! When tripped, they can both trigger your home security system and/or trigger home automation events with the use of X10 Smart Macro Software Module available separately. With OnAlert, you can even check a sensor's battery status to ensure that your system will function properly when you need it most!

Mount a DS10A Window/Door Sensor on the front door so you hear a chime every time the door is opened. Mount one on your garage door, so you receive an e-mail alert if the door is opened or closed. Set one on the bathroom door, so your light and fan come on when you enter the bathroom, and off again when you leave! The uses are endless!




Customize your Security Keychain Remotes!

Each KR10A Keychain Remote has a separate ID code, so you can customize each remote. That means you'll know who armed or disarmed your security system, and at exactly what time they did so. You can even get an instant time-stamped e-mail when your alarm is armed/disarmed or triggered.

* Give a remote to hired help, so you know what time they arrived and left your home

Personalize your settings!

You can also program each individual KR10A Keychain Remote to activate different functions. For example, if your wife is the first person to leave in the morning, when she hits disarm on her Keychain Remote, the system will disarm and the outdoor lighting that was on all night will shut off. If you are the last person to leave, when you hit arm, your security system will arm and all your interior lights will turn off. With the use of X10 Smart Macro Software Module available separately.

You can even have different settings for your kids when they get home from school, or the maid or handy man when they come to work on your home. And each time your system is armed or disarmed, you will receive an e-mail letting you know which remote was used and what time it was used at!

Q: Will OnAlert allow me to use security modules even if I don't have Protector Plus?
A: Yes! Even without Protector Plus, your MS10A Motion Detectors, DS10A Window/Door Sensor and KR10A Keychain Remote can still trigger home automation events (macros)! With the use of X10 Smart Macro Software Module available separately.


Q: Will my DS10A Window/Door Sensor trigger lights and appliances?

A: Yes! With OnAlert, your DS10A Window/Door Sensor can now trigger any X10 modules - something they could never do before!

Q: How will I know who armed or disarmed my alarm system?

A: Each KR10A Keychain Remote has a separate code, so you will know exactly who armed/disarmed your system, and at what time they did so! If you have myHouse Online, you can even get e-mailed every time this takes place!

Q: What do you mean by "customizable remotes"?

A: Since each KR10A Keychain Remote has a different code, you can program each remote for different functions. For example, if you're the last person to leave the house in the morning, when you hit arm on your remote, your security system will arm and all your lights will turn off. When you get home after dark, when you hit disarm, your porch light and front hallway light will come on and your security system will disarm. The settings can be different for your spouse and kids. It's up to you!

Q: Can I check online to see if all my doors or windows are shut?

A: Yes! As long as you have DS10A Window/Door Sensors on your entrances and myHouse Online (sold separately), you can check the status of your doors and windows over the Internet from anywhere in the world!

Q: Can I arm my security system over the Internet?

A: You sure can! You can arm your system via the Internet with myHouse Online (sold separately) from anywhere in the world!

Q: Do I need ActiveHome or ActiveHome Pro to use OnAlert?

A: OnAlert is a software plug-in for ActiveHome, so yes, you do need ActiveHome or ActiveHome Pro in order to run OnAlert.
