If you're experienced with sending and receiving RS232-type serial communications from your computer or from another electronic device, you can now easily develop and market your own software and/or hardware for use with X10-compatible systems! And you can do it all without having to create your own X10 compatible hardware or having to go through costly UL approval process.

The PSC04 One-Way Powerline Interface Module allows the developer to interface their equipment with the 120V power line using standard X10 protocol. The Powerline Interface connects to a (non-PC) serial type data port using its standard RJ11 telephone jack.

This module is optically isolated and UL approved. The timing-critical nature of communication with this device requires low-level hardware programming experience. It may also require dedicated microprocessor time. Thus, it is not recommended for casual programmers.

Note: This item is for X10 send only applications: If your application needs to send and receive X10 signals, then order the X10 Two-Way Interface Module.
